Visit to the stud farm in L\u00fcnzen &#8211; Thoroughbred Expert Day &#8211; Stud Stud Race Day on the Neue Bult <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We had already travelled to Hanover on Friday evening to spend a thoroughbred power weekend of a special kind. Before the <strong>thoroughbred expert day<\/strong> started on Saturday at 12 noon with many exciting topics, we took the opportunity to visit our yearlings in pre-training at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gestuet-luenzen.de\/\">L\u00fcnzen stud<\/a> . <strong>New Starlet<\/strong>, <strong>Tanami Starlet<\/strong> and <strong>Kellyway<\/strong> (note: our joint project with Sascha Hartung) have already settled in well and are now being prepared for the new phase of life in the racing team. In addition, we took a look at the stallions Accon and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stallion-bestsolution.de\/\">Best Solution<\/a> live. Cover photo: Kellyway at sunrise at the Thoroughbred Stud L\u00fcnzen (Photo: private) The event continued with the <strong>Thoroughbred Expert Day of the Owners&#8217; Association<\/strong>, where Jochen, as a newly elected board member, gave a short keynote speech on the topic of recruiting young talent and employees in German galloping.   <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-6568 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/elsur-racing.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/VollblutExpertentagHannover22-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"Jochen Stargardt - Thoroughbred Expert Day\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Photo: private<\/p>\n<p>Another highlight, in addition to the numerous interesting technical contributions, was the <strong>stud jump raffle<\/strong> in which the luck of the draw was on our side. The first to be drawn was Jochen, who decided on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stallion-bestsolution.de\/\">stud jump from Best Solution<\/a> , whose quality we had only personally convinced ourselves of in the morning. A short time later, Simone was also lucky, who decided on <a href=\"https:\/\/gestuet-etzean.de\/amaron\">Amaron, the Shamardal son<\/a> at <a href=\"https:\/\/gestuet-etzean.de\/\">Etzean Stud<\/a> , who is also the father of our faithful performer, Wonderful Starlet. The day ended with numerous lively conversations and a delicious dinner.     <em>Our special thanks go to Gregor Baum and his family, who were excellent hosts throughout the weekend.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>After a short night, the next day we went to the Neue Bult, to <strong>the race day of the studs<\/strong>, 4 blacktype races were on the card. Our personal highlight of the day was the 5th race, a Listed race over 1750 m for 3-year-old and older mares, in which our <strong>La Estrellita<\/strong> faced nine strong opponents. After a starting phase that was characterized by an unnecessary obstruction of her opponent Lacuna, La Estrellita under <strong>Patrick Gibson<\/strong> once again proved her fighting heart and took her fourth blacktype placement with 3rd place.
