Our highlight of the Munich race day, the 18° GRAD E.Bike Center Munich race.
This race had for an age-weight race of Cat. F already attracted an unusually large amount of attention in the run-up, because it was supposed to be a match race (2 horse races) in the end.
Our Wonderful Starlet was in the race with a TOP annual GAG of 75 kg, as a clear outsider, to the boiling hot favorite and two-time Group III winner, Aff un zo, with a TOP annual GAG of 95 kg. The race, which started at 1:00 p.m., went exactly according to plan for our Wonderful Starlet with Gavin Ashton in the saddle, the two took the lead directly and from then on didn’t let anything burn. In the end, the judge’s verdict was highly superior with 24 lengths.
Our thanks go to the jockey and the team around our trainer Michael Figge for the perfect preparation.
Almost 2.5 hours later, we were able to sympathize with the team around Aff un zo, because our Ablaze, who started in the amateur race, could not do anything with the soft terrain and took the last place completely behind.
