Great news for all racing fans and those who still want to be! German gallop and betting star broadcast all six horse races of the season opening in Cologne on Sunday in a free live stream. The first race starts at about 11:25 a.m.
Cologne, 12.03.2020: At the start of the grass track season in Cologne on Sunday, the umbrella association Deutscher Galopp and Wettstar, a racing company, will make the entire race day available online free of charge. Those responsible are reacting to the current situation with this offer. Due to the Corona virus, the season opener at Weidenpescher Park on Sunday will be without spectators. Thanks to the live stream, all racing enthusiasts as well as interested spectators have the opportunity to watch the six horse races. In order to give all spectators a great race day despite the difficult conditions, a new production concept will be used, which will bring the spectators even closer to the action.
The details of the gallop offer at a glance: The race day is free of charge on deutscher-galopp.de as well as on the German Gallop YouTube channel. After registration, Wettstar will also show all races live. Finally, the Cologne racing club itself makes the stream available on its homepage.
“The free live broadcast of an entire race day is a novelty,” explains Jan Pommer, Managing Director of Deutscher Galopp. “We quickly put all the levers in motion to make this offer possible. In this way, we want to give the spectators, who cannot be there themselves for infection protection reasons, a close-up impression of what is happening. We are also happy for any sports enthusiasts who take the opportunity to experience the fascination of racing live,” Pommer continued.
A total of six races start on Sunday in 30-minute intervals from about 11:25 a.m., and the RaceBets.deGrand Prix gallop. Pommer again: “It will be a race day of a special kind. But I’m sure the races will captivate us again. I wish everyone involved a good day of racing and neck and leg, as we say in racing.” The grass track season takes place from March to November with horse racing events in 30 German cities. All race dates as well as further information are available on deutscher-galopp.de Available. We also provide information on developments concerning the Corona virus there.
