Successes, emotions and new paths for El Sur Racing

Neustadt an der Orla, 10 September 2025 – The Big Week in Baden-Baden (Iffezheim) is behind us: a traditional event that sets highlights of German horse racing year after year. High tension on the racetrack, trend-setting decisions and unforgettable moments shaped the events. For El Sur Racing, it was an intense, moving and forward-looking time – both in terms of sport and at the BBAG yearling auction.

Strong performances and new perspectives for our horses

Quijana Starlet convinced with a committed performance and was able to secure the last place money despite strong competition. Following her performance, she switched to the training of owner-trainer Laura Dams, where she will continue her racing career. We wish both of them every success on their journey together.

Bandida Estrellita also showed a decent performance in a high-class auction race and also earned the last place fee of 2,000 €. The compact mare remains in training and is expected to compete again soon – we are looking forward to her next steps.

A particularly emotional moment was the performance of Northern Starlet. After a promising race, she had to retire from active sport due to injury. Her future now lies in the stud farm: From next year she will be covered by Zagrey in France. We are convinced that she will pass on her class and fighting spirit as a dam mare.

BBAG Yearling Auction – “Neck & Leg” to the New Owners

At the BBAG yearling auction , El Sur Racing was also able to draw a pleasing conclusion:
All three yearlings presented found their way into the best German racing team hands. We would like to thank the buyers for their trust and wish them much joy, success – and of course:
“Neck & Leg!”

Emotions, Partnerships and New Perspectives

The big week has once again shown how multifaceted, challenging and fascinating horse racing is. For El Sur Racing, it was a time full of emotions, new partnerships and valuable encounters, as well as fresh perspectives. We look forward to the upcoming tasks with joy and confidence – on the track, at the stud farm and on the auction floor.
